On 4th and inches, why in the world does Neu call a sweep with Wimprine. That is about as stupid a play call as I have seen in the league this year. Then later he jumps all over Sale for running "the wrong route" when Wimprine threw the ball over the wall with a poor pass. Neu needs to stop trying to look good on the calls and just get the damned first down. He looks like an idiot with some of his calls. Terrible game! He was outcoached in a HUGE way last night.

Yep! It seems like a majority of the fans are in agreement: This absolute self-destruction of the team is not the fault of the players, but the horrible play-calling and coaching decisions. I'm Sorry to say, but if we do not make the playoffs, Neu should be fired.

Do you get the feeling that if Katrina hadn't happen that Neu would have been fired by now? I just get the feeling that he will get one more season.

That may have something to do with it. But perhaps the other major reason is because Benson and Co. may not exactly care. Tom, being an NFL team owner obviously, has bigger fish to fry. His granddaughter, who I believe is the other part owner of the VooDoo, may still be living in San Antonio so she likely doesn't care (And she may want them to lose so she can move them there for all we know). For owners of AFL teams and nothing more, Neu would've been long ago, Katrina or not.

wo wo wo wo

hold on guys. Tom Benson does care about the voodoo, he is there every home game. I went to his suite monday night. Him and his wife love the voodoo and seeing as many fans as we do. Benson and his wife love my outfit, they told me that several times this year. as far as Rita leblanc(ms) She owns 70% of the VooDoo, and the last I heard see lives in bel faire in Metairie. I don't see anything ever happening to the voodoo until 2020.

2020 is when the Saints contract ends with the City of New Orleans. So put it this way 2020 is when the VooDoo's contract ends unless Rita buys out her Father's share.

Well, if Benson loves the Voodoo, then he'll make the right decision if we do not make the playoffs. I have never seen nor heard of the Graveyard filing out so much. It seems bad enough that the city of New Orleans has forgotten the Voodoo exist (in my opinion, anyways), but the last thing Benson would want is for the few fans who love the team to turn away as well. Playoffs, or Neu must go.

you telling me.

All down infront of the superdome is nothing but the hornet's crap. all over the arena is nothing but the hornets crap. for petes sakes what is under the scoreboard, a damn hornets logo. ah we have equal rights to that arena. the hornets got as far as we did in 2004. they shouldn't recieve anything more than a slap on the butt. everybody's about the hornets nowdays. which makes me pi**ed off, and want them to leave sooner.

oh yea, have you noticed all those pictures of the saints imblem and hornets mixed together? ah hello idiots, we are still here! Hornets ain't even football!!!!!!!!!!

good lord what are these idiots thinking.

anyways.. the voodoo are still good in a way.

2004 - (11,5) Southern Champions
2005 - (9,7) - Ripped off out of Playoff
2006 - Kansas City Brigade
2007 - (5,11)
2008 - (7,5)

Neu is (38,36) season (1.3) in playoff's

i do think the reported 16,005 attendance was made up by the PR department. the upper deck was more full than it's been, but it was still pretty empty. when you notice the 16,000 for hornets games and the 16,000 for voodoo games, they look nothing similar.

IMO mike neu is a stand up kind of guy. I say though if we miss the playoffs after starting 7-2 he should be on the hot seat next year. wimprine undid us in this game. i think the GA dirty tactics were the cause of his timing being off, not knowing if his recievers would be in their routes.

had we won that game, we'd be looking at 8-0 in the graveyard. the game tomorrow i have work so i can't go, but i think we'll bounce back.

usually at this point bad teams start playing out the string. in '05, one of our last wins was versus columbus, and we jumped on them early. that's what you have to do versus bad teams.

without katrina we'd have been decent in '06.

KB as for the hornets you gotta remember they're in the #3 pro sports league in north america and the voodoo are in the #5 or #6 league.

the voodoo have not won a "nationally" televised game now since march 20th, 2005 when they beat chicago in OT at chicago. since then on NBC and ESPN2 they're 0-5.

Sorry, but the Hornets are light years ahead of the VooDoo in importance to the city. They are a professional team whereas the AFL will always be closer to a minor league. Although fun to watch, the AFL does not even compare to an NBA team.

AFL is more fun than the NBA. I can't stand Cobie's cocky smart alick comments anymore.
