Boy, this place sure has become a deadzone, eh?

Apparently Voodoo can clinch a playoff spot if they win, or the Gladiators lose. The Gladiators are hosting the Columbus Destroyers while our game will be going on, so we shouldn't count on the Destroyers to help us out. It looks like (ONCE AGAIN!) it's put up or shut up time for the crew.
With each week, the defense seems to be getting closer and closer to it's 6-2 form we all loved so dearly from the first half of the season. The D-line has been playing like they're looking to injury somebody, and if there's anyone on the team right now that can light a fire under their tails, it'll be those guys in the trenches. I expect our D to play one of their finer games here.
Our offensive line, by contrast, is well...non-existent! I will be the first to admit that Danny has not been his old self as of late, but lately he's been looking like the Voodoo's version of Archie Manning. If he doesn't have to run for his life, he gets time to plant his feet. And it's been shown all the time that if he can take that 3 step drop, AND NOT HAVE TO TAKE ANYMORE, then he can hit anyone on the field with a beautiful pass. I expect the team to play on full cylinders here to make a statement, and more or less, to get some confidence back into them. I'm sure the off-season is going to be long enough should they miss the playoffs. But to miss the playoffs and end the season on a loss really does take some toll on a player mentally, given the breakdown these guys had.
But remember, if we make they playoffs, we'll have head to Georgia for another battle with the Force. We all know how the first two games went...
